Jade Loudermilk and Hayley Cranfill v. Northtowne Hyundai, Inc., and Edward H. Hodgson, Case No. 08CY-CV09995

The Montee Law Firm obtained a $1,200,000.00 settlement for two Clay County, Missouri women, injured in a September 20, 2008, Kansas City, Missouri, motor vehicle accident.

Ms. Loudermilk and Ms. Cranfill were passengers in a Northtowne Hyundai vehicle, driven by Edward Hodgson, an employee of Northtowne Hyundai. While driving southbound on North Brighton Avenue, Hodgson crested a hill at a high rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a ditch. The force of the collision caused the vehicle to flip.

As a result of the accident, Ms. Loudermilk suffered severe neck injuries and broken bones. Ms. Loudermilk required several surgical procedures, was hospitalized for seventeen days and was forced to endure a long and painful recovery. Ms. Cranfill also suffered severe neck injuries as a result of the accident and required a C4-5 fusion. Ms. Cranfill was also forced to endure a long and painful recovery.

A settlement was reached under which Northtowne Hyundai’s insurance carrier settled with Ms. Loudermilk for the sum of $800,000.00, and Ms. Cranfill for the sum of $400,000.00.
